The edge colour is achieved by repeatedly unpremultiplying and blurring the image which helps get some sort of colour information into motion blurred keys for example:

The control matte os typically an eroded version of the alpha channel

This is an awesome gizmo!
Gives much cleaner result than any 3D renderer I've tried.

I ran into some problems getting this gizmo to work with 6.3v5. The parameters were getting confused when the script was saved, Nuke exited, and the script re-opened. Also, when I would try to copy to a group, I was getting the Gizmo constructor errors. I also couldn't copy and paste the Gizmo within the same script. I went ahead and re-built the gizmo so that it works with 6.3v5. If anyone else is having these issues besides me, I'd be happy to upload the new version.

Have you tried Nuke 6.3v6? Works fine for me in that version, maybe 6.3v5 had a bug? It's a very simple gizmo, no magic at all, so it'd be strange if the gizmo was to blame. What exactly does the error message say?

Hi Frank, how you been?

The show I am currently on is locked to 6.3v4. Bringing in gizmos are frowned upon, so I'm trying to bring them in as a group. When I open the gizmo in Nuke, then click on copy to group, I get this pop-up error:

Constructor for Gizmo Failed

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "", line 1, in
RuntimeError: Constructor for Gizmo failed

Hi Frank,

I got the same error. I'm on 6.3v5 on Linux. Vinh - did you use the one I emailed you, or did you get this one to work?

I opened it through a text editor, changed the top line from gizmo to group, then copied and pasted all the text into the DAG. I was able to use Frank's version and it worked. Thanks guys.
