A procedural lens flare tool designed to generate 'edge flares', secondary flares that appear at the edge of frame as light hits the lens from outside the viewing frustum.
You can either plot the flare position using a manual 2D position, or plug in a camera, axis and lens distortion map (stmap) that will dictate the screenspace position for you.
This is my first release, so there's bound to be a few issues here and there. It was built with the intention of being used at around 2k resolution, so different project formats will vary in result. It's currently missing a format setting on the UI as I had trouble getting it working with all the different aspects of the node. For now, it's drawn at project-level resolution. Any feedback is welcome!
I documented some of the processes behind building this tool on my website blog, feel free to check that out: https://www.chrisbturner.com/blog/creating-a-2d-point-based-procedural-edge-flare-tool-in-nuke
