I like to keep my scripts neat, organized and labeled. One thing I like to do is change the color of StickyNotes to match the node they are addressing. I made a function that will change the color of any selected StickyNotes to the color of another selected node. The color chosen is based on the first non-StickyNote node selected. After the function executes and the StickyNote's color(s) has/have been changed, only the StickyNote(s) and the color node will remain selected.

I also placed the most common things people would want to change at beginning at the file:

  • At the top of the script. you can change where the function is placed in the Nuke menu and the shortcut.
  • In the beginning of the function, you change the error message whether or not to use the error message.

Feel free to add to the script as you otherwise see fit. Let me know if it's something cool!

To install, place this file in your .nuke folder or wherever your scripts live. Then place import StickyNoteColor to the top of your menu.py file.

This has been tested on Windows 10 in Nuke 8 and 9, though it should work in other environments
