Hey everyone!

Sharing a little tool to connect nodes with dots in a 90 degree angle. Helps a lot keeping big scripts with large connection paths organised.

To install unpack the conntect_dots.zip file into your .nuke directory.

Here is where you can find your .nuke folder on your OS:

Default shortcuts for the tool:

  • Alt + Y

connects the primary selected node and the secondary selected node with a dot node in a 90 degree angle in between on the lower side

  • Shift + Y

connects the primary selected node and the secondary selected node with a dot node in a 90 degree angle in between on the upper side.

  • Alt + .

creates a dot node in a 90 degree angle in between two already connected nodes on the lower side.

  • Alt + Shift + .

creates a dot node in a 90 degree angle in between two already connected nodes on the upper side.

In case you want to adjust the shortcuts - you can do so in the included menu.py

I hope this helps you keep those nodegraphs angled!
