creates presets for viewer input. Updated with Auto Shuffle and HSV
Requirements:
6.2, 6.3, 7.0 or later
Linux, Mac, Windows

401

v1.5 supports MergeExpression, Expression and ShuffleCopy. It only supports 'channel0' in expressions and 'out' in shuffles.

v1.4 has archive/restore option for existing ViewerInput nodes in the script and picks up active viewer's IP name preset. Handles Shuffles. Again use the remove option to restore existing ViewerInput nodes

v1.3 fixes the text node's font path in Auto Shuffle

v1.2 includes Auto Shuffle and HSV

v1.1 includes the Normalize as per Diogo and Ivan's tool from the user list.

This tool creates several preset ViewerInput nodes. Select from the menu and a node/group is created labelled VIEWER_INPUT.

You can delete this node from the same menu.

Presets are:

Auto Shuffle, Grid, HSV, Mirror (horizontal), Normalize, Saturation, over 18% grey, over checkerboard and the remove option.

So rather than selecting a Grid node, changing it's name to VIEWER_INPUT, this will do it all in one go.Presets can be easily expanded to suit or you can contact me and if/when I have time I'll add it.

Auto Shuffle will atempt to shuffle the layer that a viewed node is working on into the RGBA layer. So if you are grading depth it wil shuffle depth into RGBA. It ignores All and None. It does this by adding code to the active viewer so use the remove option to remove the VIEWER_INPUT node otherwise the code will remain and may cause issues. It will interfere with any knobChanged code you may add to a viewer already.

PLEASE NOTE: Auto Shuffle will interfere with full speed playback even if IP is off. To acheive full speed again use the remove option.

Menu.py code included in the tar file.

Hey ! awesome tool ! thanks !

I was thinking if it's possible to make a viewer that only shows the output of the layer that you are editing instead of the RGBA for example:
Colorcorrect node tint the Occlusion Layer and when the viewer is linked to the node just see the layer modified instead of change it manually RGBA to OcclusionLayer.

This does not mean I ask you to do it just wanna know if it is posible to do it :-)

Thanks !

I'm not sure how you would find the channel as you shouldn't connect the ViewerInput to the script - at least not inline to the viewer. I guess you could do a call back on the selectedNode, and ignore if more than one node is selected maybe, you'd also have to ignore 'All'. Hmmm sounds like something could work...

I don't believed ! it's really what I was dreaming ! thanks for your help !

I only have one problem (no from your preset)

I got an error that says Cant read font file /usr/share/Font /truetype/Vera. ttf

I tried to change the font from preference but the error still there, do you know how to change the font preset of the node ?

Thanks for all !

Thanks for pointing it out - v1.3 should auto fix this.

Though it's odd that you had this as the text node should have just picked up your nuke default anyway.
What was your fix?

For some reason I change the default font to anything but but when I load the autoshuffle it only wanted to load that Vera.ttf (that was not exist in that route ) so I download that font and put it in usr/share/Font/ truetype/Vera.t tf and solved the problem

It was silly but was the only thing that cross my mind

I really appreciated your preset! I really thank you !

Hey Howard!

I've been using autoshuffle a lot, but I have been running across some issues when working with the shuffle node and the shufflecopy node, I can't see witch output is on the display. For example, whenever I use shufflecopy to change the output from RGBA to OcclusionLayer the display keeps showing me RGBA.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way around this?

Hi
That's because it's not handling shuffle nodes yet. I've just fixed this plus a few other bits so 1.4 should do this correctly

Could be possible the autoshuffle to work with MergeExpression ? :-)

Yes it can be - are there any other nodes you can think of? To save keep uploading new versions
