Also, the "best way" that you propose will grow the bounding box very large if you use opacity and not lifetime, at least until the Foundry fix the bug that makes 0-opacity shapes still contribute to the bbox.
Hi Charles, It wont be frustrating anymore coz Im have made some python shortcut for doing that super fast in nuke and silhouette :) .. Ill send you that to you soon .. I agree U can set Lifetime in Nuke. But this is general rototip each every application doesnt posses lifetime option..

I would recommend to everyone that the "correct way" is the best way.
The shapes disappear outside their lifetime anyway, so there's no advantage to moving them off to the side.
