TX_Fog

This node is design to simulate 3D fog inside the nuke 3D space.
The trick is to have a customisable amout of card, all linked together to create the illusion of a real fog.

features:
- fully animatable
- x y and z decay
- can be lighten and colorized
- fully deformable by draging edges, edges or faces
- works pretty well in stereo

NB : You can create blackholes by rendering a black point cloud (2 issues come with this : nuke doesn’t like point clouds rendering (it takes a lot of time), and the second is that you don’t have anti-aliasing on it, but through those quite bad limitation it can helps to create nice looking fog)

tx_fog

NEW:
- possibility to bend on X and/or Y the cards
- possibility to displace the cards with a noise
- both can be used seperately or combined
- the resolution of the cards can be adjusted from the settings

- nuke 8 friendly

Thanks, great gizmo!

As a suggestion; it would speed up rendering if the cards only had 1 row / column, since they don't get deformed.

I don't know why I haven't done it,
stay tuned for the next update :-D (if you have other suggestions, do not hesitate)

I'm having some issues with the supported Nuke versions... I'm working on 6.3v3 and the same warning pops-up every time that the gizmo is not supported for this version... Any thoughts and a little help?

Thanks though! Great gizmo! Cheers

Very useful gizmo, but when I move through from these cards with a camera, each card that the lens pass through disappers in 1 frame. It would be nice to add a gradient dissolve according to the lens distance.

Which node should it use?

Dear Tomas

Sorry I may have read your discription incorrectly, but should I be able to throw a spot light through the cage to light the fog, I dont seem to be able to get a result no matter how far I bump the intensity of the lights up i only seem to get black, turn the lights off and the fog comes back.

regards
-adam
