Tool to deal with $gui expressions in a nuke script.
Specifically developed for when taking over someones nuke script with hidden $gui expression, and trying to figure out whats going on, or when you have to consolidate someone elses script for a vendor share and can't figure out why the render looks different than the comp-tree.
- The tool has been tested on Nuke 10, but should work on all versions of Nuke as it is built with python.
See image for a full run down of how the tool works, and all the features of the tool. (PS: this is now out of date as the major update has many improvents not mentioned in the picture, this will be updated soon)
If you run into any unexpected behaviour when using the tool, please feel free to contact me, feedback is welcome
v1.1: minor update to user interface and fixing how a message with useful info is displayed to the user when restoring expressions.
v1.2: removed the header of nuke file (so users won't get a message saying tool was created with a certain version of nuke, no change to tool)
v2.0: major update, tool now works with indexes (if a node has multiple expression on the same knob, but different index)
duplicates are now allowed, subdulicates on the other hand is not allowed, much improved display messages to let user know what has
been restored/stored, if there is existing expressions, etc.
This explination picture in now out if date, as the tool has namy more functions added.. this picture will be replaced with a new explination soon
