GLOBAL TONEMAPPING OPERATORS 1.5

colour-science.org - July 10, 2016

The attached file is a playground for implementation of various Global Tonemapping Operators. They are available as groups and can be copy / pasted quickly from the file to another.

The following operators are currently implemented:

  • Simple
  • Normalise
  • Gamma
  • Logarithmic
  • Exponential
  • Schlick (1994)
  • Reinhard (2004)
  • Filmic

Examples with the following source image: http://rit-mcsl.org/fairchild/HDRPS/Scenes/HDRMark.html

Because Nuke is unable to perform realtime computation of image average, min and max values, some operators need a domain precomputation.

More information is available in the following IPython Notebook: https://github.com/colour-science/colour-hdri/blob/master/colour_hdri/examples/example_global_tonemapping_operators.ipynb

Latest version of the file will always be available at this url: https://github.com/colour-science/colour-nuke/blob/master/colour_nuke/scripts/global_tonemapping_operators.nk

Really really cool!
There is a bug in the Reinhard implamentation.
I guess it is some left over code.

In the I_a_tonemapping _operator_Expre ssion there is a unused expression variable that throws a error. It should be removed.
