Sometimes its quite important to know the min and max Values of an Image. Of course you could exposure/gamma up/down to find highlights and/or darkest spots. But soon as we talk about tech passes like position passes, z-depth its quite hard.

So i used the Min/Max example from the Nuke Doc and wrapped a Panel around it which is doing this task for me. Also ist faster, more precisely and just convenient to use.

Just select the Node you want to measure and run the script. A Panel pops up and shows you the min and max Values for rgba.

There is also a Button to create a Grade which normalize the Image into a Range between 0-1. I

i.e. Z-Depth, Position Passes and so on
