the neon / laser / LED lights are quite common in our vfx work.

I know about the official blue light fix, but probably there should also be one for the red channel? Or maybe there should be some kind of tone mappings for specific cameras ?

I've been trying to fix this issue with a generic method to be applied on any footage whatever the camera is, Like Aces blue neon colors, Red lights in RED cameras, Red and blue lights in Blackmagic.. etc.

This all-in-one Nuke gizmo tackles both red and blue out-of-gamut lights, regardless of the camera used. Fine-tune target and replacement colors with ease.
