Most of the 3D render softwares are outputing their Distance from Camera channel in metric unit (centimeter for instance), unlike Nuke which normalise the distance between 0 and 1.
So I've made D_DeepFromDistance as a short-cup gizmo to convert quickly a multichannel layer into a deep image stream by normalising the 'distance form camera' channel output by your 3D render software.
For instance I have a multichaneel EXR with a PBC channel (Point Base Camera). The 'blue' channel is the one which carries the distance form camera information. So in the D_DeepFromDistance I'd select 'PBC' in the Distance Channel drop down menu. And then I'd choose 'blue' as the Distance Colour. From there mylaeris now in deep image stream. Easy !
