OverScan Node for Nuke
This gizmo has two main modes: adding and removing over scan.
Adding Over Scan:
Make sure Remove Over Scan is not activated.
Reset the OS box to match your working format.
Adjust and add the over scan you need.
Activate Box2Format to convert the plate to the new over scan format.
Enable Rezx2 if you need to work at double resolution for DMP.
Render your plate.
Removing Over Scan:
Bring the DMP with the over scan format
Duplicate the node where the over scan was applied so it keeps the data for removing it.
Activate Remove Over Scan to revert the plate.
Divide the resolution if it was doubled.
Select your working format.
The plate is converted back into bounding box format, ready for projection.
Hope it's useful, it's really a basic tool. I did have some tools like this in the studios I have worked as a matte painter, but there is no native node that does all that quickly inside Nuke, so I thought about making one myself.
