Description

OpticalFlow node will provide you accurate x and y displacements of apparent motion. OpticalFlow is similar to VectorGenerator and may be used for retiming and motion blurring

Here you can see a displacement vectors calculated for images from the left written to R and G channels.

Calculated displacements may be used by other Nodes. For example, being the part of KeenTools, it may be used for GeoTracker to manualy configure optical flow used in ‘pre analyzing’ stage.

OpticalFlow node has a lot of parameters. Such as Lambda that affects smothess, Epsilon that is a trade-off between precision and running time and so on. Each parameter has a tooltip where you can find a detailed information about it.
