Overview

RV Launcher is a simple but powerful tool that lets you open selected Read or Write nodes directly in Autodesk RV with a single click.
It automatically detects RV on your system, understands sequence padding, and sends the correct start/end frame range to RV.

Perfect for artists who need quick playback without manually browsing folders or typing paths.

Installation

1. Download the ZIP

2. Extract into your Nuke directory:

~/.nuke/RVLauncher

1. Restart Nuke — no setup needed.

Usage

You’ll find the tool under:

Nodes → SmartTools → Launch RV

1. Select one or more Read or Write nodes

2. Click Launch RV

3. RV opens instantly with correct frame range(s)
