Despill node based of Keylight's algorithm. It uses Comp Lair's (Pedro Andrade) technique for colour and BG replacement.

Despill node based of Keylight's algorithm. It uses Comp Lair's (Pedro Andrade) technique for colour and BG replacement.

I've always loved using ChillSpill, bm_despill and Keylight as my despill nodes of choice so after a while I decided to combine what I liked the most out of all 3. 

LM_Despill uses a keylight to perform the actual despill and it has a couple modes to decide what the replacement is:

  - Luminance - Preserves original luminance values of the plate. Affected by the Bias Controls

- Colour - Replaces spill with chosen color in the Colour control tab. Affected by the Bias and Colour controls

 

- BG - Replaces spill with the BG plugged into the BG pipe. Affected by the Bias and Spill Replacement controls.

 

- Edge extend - Replaces spill with an edge extended version of the plate. Affected by the Bias and Spill Replacement controls

 

How to:

Plug in your plate and pick your screen colour.

Screen Bias works as expected from keylight (between the other two channels)

Despill Bias works as expected from keylight. Increase the value of a channel to preserve it better or pick a specific color to keep it.
