Multi-Sequence Matcher
Overview The Multi-Sequence Matcher is a workflow-optimizing Nuke Gizmo designed to eliminate repetitive compositing work when dealing with multiple versions, edits, or cameras of the same sequence.
Instead of duplicating your node tree (roto, paint, keying, or grading) for every plate, this tool intelligently maps corresponding frames from up to three different inputs onto a single, unified master timeline. It allows you to comp the shared frames exactly once, while safely preserving non-matching frames on offset timelines for independent work.
Key Features:
Unified Compositing: Work from a single output pipe. All shared frames are time-aligned, meaning one Roto or Grade node applies to all matching inputs simultaneously.
Non-Destructive Offsets: Unmatched frames are mathematically pushed to high-value frame ranges (e.g., 100,000+) so they never overlap, keeping them easily accessible for independent tweaks.
Automated Render Routing: A one-click "Export Render Setup" button generates dedicated Time Warp/Router branches with native Nuke Write nodes, automatically restoring each sequence back to its original frame range for final delivery.
Clean Node Graph: Choose between live-linked expressions or mathematically baked routing values to prevent messy green expression lines from cluttering your script.
Best Used For: Conform updates, multi-cam setups, stereoscopic adjustments, or any shot where a large portion of the background/plate remains identical across different sequence iterations.
