Why make a new chromatic aberration tool when apChroma and Chromatik already do a lovely job?
ChromaOver is color-driven, allowing the artist to select the color of the fringe they want instead of applying a standard red/blue or magenta/green fringe.
Like apChroma, ChromaOver performs a per-channel merge so you'll never get holes or added edges, even with extreme aberration. It also outputs an RGB regrain mask so you're not doubling up grain in channels where you don't need it. There's a pre-built regrain template included -- just add your own grain method.
